Dr Rishelle Hume is a Noongar Woman with traditional ties to the Whadjuk, Ballardong and Gnaala Karla Booja peoples. She has devoted her working life to the advancement of Aboriginal people and Noongar culture, and has over 20 years’ experience in Aboriginal engagement ranging from employment, education, justice and health. Rishelle is actively involved in the Aboriginal community in the Perth region as a member of various organisations and as an Aboriginal role model to future sports stars.

Warwick is well-known for his philanthropic contributions to the arts in Western Australia. He has combined his professional leadership skills with his passion for the visual and performing arts to help improve business models and financial performance of the state’s arts organisations. He has served in leading management and guiding roles either as Chairman, Deputy Chairman, board member or supporter of many significant institutions and organisations including WA Opera, the National Gallery of Australia, the Art Gallery of Western Australia Foundation and the Chamber of Arts and Culture WA. In addition to his generous and ongoing financial support, the leadership Warwick has shown in arts and culture management will be his lasting legacy and his most defining contribution to the sector.

With an impassioned desire to add vibrancy and drive business to the city of Perth, Adrian drove an impressive portfolio spanning hospitality, retail, manufacturing, property development and property investment as a Director of the FJM Property Group. He led the restoration project of the State Buildings and COMO The Treasury hotel to return these once unusable buildings back to public use. Adrian is a Board Member of the University of Western Australia Business School, Perth International Arts Festival, and Chair of the Art Gallery of WA Foundation. He was awarded an OAM in 2014 for his contribution to the Arts.

Arlene, a breast cancer-specific oncologist at Hollywood Private Hospital and Director of the Breast Clinical Trials Unit, was also kept busy as an Adjunct Professor at Curtin University Medical School. Arlene established the Breast Cancer Research Centre of WA of which she vice-chaired, and steered the busiest breast cancer clinical trials unit in the country. She recruited over 1000 patients in to 79 trials whose results led to a world-wide change in the standards of care for breast cancer. She also established the first breast cancer tumour bank in WA where over 2000 tissue samples were stored for future research.

As a doctor in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, John dedicated his time to improving the health of all Australians through numerous voluntary local, national and international initiatives representing excellence within medicine and community development. John founded the non-profit organisation Fair Game Australia which donated 15000 items of recycled sports equipment to deliver fitness and wellness activities to people in need, and inspire change through exercise, capacity-building and health education. He also co-founded FuturePerth; a voice of progress ensuring that development in Perth is vibrant, integrated, and sustainable and reflects the aspirations of its creative, urban and active citizens.

Caitlin represented Western Australian in the West Coast Fever netball team and also played for the Australian Netball Diamonds, contributing to the side’s 2011 World Championship win. As a Telstra Ambassador, Caitlin delivered its Cyber Safety and Standing Tall programs which educated and informed young people about self-confidence and bullying. Prior to delivering the programs, Caitlin undertook research around cyber safety and approached psychologists for assistance on how to present the program in a way that students would understand and retain key messages.

Nat joined the Fremantle Dockers as their 20th draft pick in 2009. In 2010 he was awarded an AFL Rising Start nomination, and soon after became a dual Doig Medalist (2013 & 2014), an All Australian (2014 & 2015), twice winner of the AFL Players’ Association MVP Award (2014 & 2015) and a Brownlow Medallist (2015). Nat’s contribution to WA agriculture was highlighted in The Woolmark Company’s Fibre of Football campaign which celebrates the rich heritage connecting the Australian wool industry and Australian football. He also mentored youth through school and club programs which were attended by nearly 3,500 young people.

At the age of 21, Ashlee noticed a gap in mental health education before the point of crisis and established a range of educational and early intervention programs for young people through her charity, zero2hero Inc. Ashlee led a team of staff and volunteers who reached over 80,000 young Western Australians each year, and partnered with likeminded organisations including Lifeline, Suicide Prevention Australia and the Foundation for Young Australians. She was named one of the Australian Financial Reviews 100 Women of Influence, awarded a Pride of Australia Medal in 2015 and won the WA Youth Award for Education in 2013.
