Museum of the Goldfields presents the WA Day Festival in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Join us on Monday 1 June from 10am–2pm at Centennial Park for a vibrant celebration of culture, community and connection.
Enjoy an exciting line-up of live entertainment, featuring Aboriginal artists sharing storytelling and art, alongside dynamic performances from African, Māori, Filipino, Peruvian, Indian and Goldfields Pride community groups. Expect a colourful showcase of music, dance and culture throughout the day.
Get your adrenaline fix with Radrock Adventures, bringing a huge range of high-energy attractions including an 8-metre rock-climbing wall, bungee trampolines, a mobile high ropes course with zipline, a massive inflatable obstacle course, axe throwing and interactive sports challenges.
There’s something for all ages to enjoy. Meet friendly animals at Old Macdonald’s Travelling Farm, be enchanted by Angie the Fairy and her roaming performers, or explore hands-on activity zones including a Mini Mine play area, Box City build zone and Celebrate WA Day craft station. Little ones can enjoy the dedicated Under 5 Play Zone presented by the Goldfields Regional Library.
Dive into creativity and culture with interactive workshops including Aboriginal art and storytelling led by a local Wongutha Anunga Noongar Yamatji artist, as well as weaving, Māori dance and African drumming. Try your luck in the prospecting pit thanks to Hannan’s North Tourist Mine, and contribute to the Proud Tree by sharing what makes you proud to be part of the Goldfields community.
Take a break at the Headspace Chill Zone before jumping back into the action, or catch live demonstrations from CME Mine Rescue.
Bring your family and friends and experience a day filled with fun, culture and community spirit in the heart of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
Proudly supported by BHP, the State Government and Lotterywest.
