Celebrate WA is committed to delivering programs and events that provide an opportunity to all Western Australians to celebrate our people, our lifestyle, our history and our potential.
Celebrate WA is undergoing a change in focus and direction following a strategic review and evaluation of our programs. The October WA Week celebrations and small grants program will not be held in 2011.
As part of our new program, we are encouraging the renaming of Foundation Day to Western Australia or WA Day commencing in June 2012, providing all Western Australians an opportunity to join together to celebrate our people, lifestyle, history and potential.
A program of activities that will provide mass participation is currently being developed so watch this space.
Burswood Entertainment Complex
The Western Australian Citizen of the Year Awards were inaugurated in 1972 to acknowledge the significant and enduring contribution of outstanding citizens from all fields of endeavour and a dedicated service organisation.
Opening dates for the 2012 WA Citizen of the Year Awards Nominations will be advertised over the coming months.
The Awards are presented at a Gala Evening at the Burswood Entertainment Complex.
