Port Hedland celebrate our WAy.
Over 5000 people from Port and South Hedland recently came together for the WA Day Festival, enjoying the WA-inspired Drone Light Show under a stunning Pilbara sunset and night sky.
Attendees dined on cuisines from the Woodside Eat Street, played on the PerthNow Carnival Zone, spread picnic blankets across the BHP Family Zone, enjoyed freebies and delights from the market stalls, and listened to live performances on the Lotterywest Community Stage.
“People came in their thousands to enjoy the bouncy castles, food, live entertainment, and the main event – The Drone Light Show! I’ve never experienced such a fantastic family event that was enjoyed immensely by the Hedland community.”
Shane Hayes, Manager Community Development for Town of Port Hedland.
“Thanks to the fantastic support of major partners BHP, Lotterywest and Government of Western Australia, we were thrilled to be able to give Port Hedland a taste of the WA Day Festival and Drone Light Show.”
Mr Michael Anghie, Celebrate WA Chairman.
