Museum of Geraldton presents the WA Day Festival in Geraldton.

Join us on Monday 1 June from 10am–2pm at the Museum of Geraldton for a huge day of music, culture and family fun on the Batavia Coast.

Catch an electrifying live set from First Nations rapper Sam B, see Geraldton’s favourite “vintage” rockers reunite for a special one-off performance, and enjoy a line-up of exciting emerging local artists. Be part of the action with interactive dance experiences and special performances celebrating the rich cultures of our region.

There’s plenty for the whole family - from hands-on wildlife encounters and creative craft workshops to face painting, sensory play, mini golf, a balance rope challenge and hover ball archery. You can even try inclusive activities like Fishability while enjoying a delicious spread of multicultural street food.

Celebrate WA Day in Fremantle!

Join us at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour on Monday June 1 from 11am–6pm for a vibrant celebration by the water, honouring the stories, people and cultures that shape Western Australia.

Set against the stunning harbour and Bathers Beach, the precinct will come alive with a dynamic program of live entertainment from artists representing Oceania, Asia, Europe and South America. A powerful highlight of the day is the First Nations Corroboree, led by respected Elder James Webb and Wadumbah Dance Theatre, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and enduring traditions of Australia’s First Nations peoples.

Across the harbour, enjoy colourful cultural showcases, roaming performers and high-energy acts, including the spectacular 50-metre Dragon Dance, Venetian-style street theatre and lively performances from groups such as Apotezzy Samba.

Experience the energy of Festival Carnivale at Bathers Beach, featuring Latin rhythms, choreographed dance, live bands and vibrant costuming, alongside crowd favourites including Candela and the electrifying Eighties Arena live show bringing iconic hits to life.

Families can explore the Kids Festival Kingdom, a dedicated children’s precinct filled with interactive fun. Discover creative workshops, storytelling and hands-on activities, meet superheroes, unicorns and fairytale characters, and don’t miss the magical Mermaid Aquarium & Marine Wonder Experience.

Be sure to visit Nonna’s Piazza – Cooking with the Nonnas, where traditional recipes, storytelling and hands-on pasta-making workshops bring generations together in a celebration of culture, food and family.

As the day unfolds, the celebration builds to a breathtaking sunset fire performance on Bathers Beach, where flame, rhythm and movement create a spectacular coastal finale.

Celebrate WA Day in Newman on Sunday 7 June from 3–8:30pm with an afternoon packed full of entertainment, connection and local spirit.

Emu Oval will transform into a lively festival as the community comes together to recognise the people, stories and cultures that shape our great State.

The afternoon will feature an exciting program of live music and performances, including local DJ, DJ Viv, soulful singer-songwriter Adrian Dzvuke, and energetic band Feel Estate. Families can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the event, such as a circus skills workshop and a SciTech activation featuring interactive STEM exhibits and hands-on experiences. Visitors can also take part in skills and drills with the West Coast Eagles, snap a photo with Rick and Rosie, and explore the merchandise and colouring-in tent designed especially for younger festivalgoers.

As the evening rolls in, keep an eye out for light-up roving stilt performers bringing extra sparkle to the festivities, before the celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks display lighting up the Pilbara sky.

With free entry, tasty food vendors and plenty to see and do, it’s the perfect way to celebrate WA Day close to home.

Set against the stunning coastal backdrop, this free community event will bring locals together for an afternoon of entertainment, connection and celebration of everything that makes Western Australia unique.

The festival will feature an exciting program of live music and performances, including dynamic vocalist Lilly Gogos and the crowd-pleasing band Feel Estate. Families can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the event, such as a circus skills workshop and a SciTech activation featuring interactive STEM exhibits and hands-on experiences. Visitors can also take part in skills and drills with the West Coast Eagles, snap a photo with Rick and Rosie, and explore the merchandise and colouring-in tent designed especially for younger festivalgoers.

As the evening unfolds, keep an eye out for light-up roving stilt performers adding a magical glow to the marina, before the celebration concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the water.
