The carnival rides are back - and they’re completely FREE!
With rides popping up across the park, families can enjoy all the carnival fun without spending a cent. From family favourites to plenty of thrills, there’ll be something for everyone.

The Great Mascot Race is back - and it’s bigger and better than ever!
Expect plenty of familiar favourites, a few new faces and lots of mascot mayhem as some of Western Australia’s best-loved characters battle it out for mascot glory.
Meet your favourite heroes, grab a photo before and after the race, then cheer them on from the sidelines. Who will take the crown this year?
Get ready for an incredible weekend of live music, with some of Western Australia’s most iconic talent set to take the stage at the WA Day Festival.
And this year, there’s even more to discover. A brand-new Discovery Stage will shine a spotlight on some of Western Australia’s most exciting emerging and up-and-coming artists.

The WA Day Festival is a free, family-friendly celebration of everything that makes Western Australia great — our people, places and shared achievements.
In 2026, the WA Day Festival will return to Burswood Park on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 November, bringing Western Australians together for a huge weekend of free entertainment, live music, family activities, sport, food and fireworks. While WA Day has traditionally been celebrated on the first Monday in June, the Perth Festival has moved to November. From 2028, the WA Day public holiday is proposed to permanently move to the second Monday in November. The Festival brings together Western Australians from every background and community to celebrate the people, stories and experiences that make our state unique.Yes! The WA Day Festival is free to attend, with free carnival rides, activities and activations, live entertainment, music and fireworks across the weekend.
You’ll only need to pay for any food, drinks, showbags or merchandise you choose to purchase while you’re there.Yes! Free Festival parking is planned at McCallum Park and Taylor Reserve, with access via Taylor Street and McCallum Lane off Canning Highway. Paid parking is also available at Crown Perth.
ACROD parking will be available at Crown Perth’s P3 Car Park and McCallum Park for valid ACROD permit holders.
