 William is a qualified Architect, Urban Designer and Land Economist with high level skills in retail and commercial property development, including land development. He has demonstrated that a national professional business can be developed out of Western Australia. After graduating from Harvard he set forth to apply his skills to establish and grow an international, multi-disciplinary professional practice. William was a leader and early innovator in expanding the concepts of the value of a multi-disciplinary approach to the built environment and has made an outstanding contribution to architecture and urban design through his work, winning an array of awards from the Property Council of WA, Australian Institute of Architects (AIA), Design Institute of Australia and the Master Builders Association. He has also made notable contributions to education and training within the institutes and organisations he has served including the AIA WA Chapter Council and Society of Land Economists. William co-founded and developed Cedar Woods Properties Ltd which has become one of Australia’s most successful property development companies, enabling him to put into practice many of the community building and sustainability concepts he has long promoted. |
