On returning to Perth his business prowess saw Stan turn an army surplus General Grant tank into an earthmoving and transport business which in turn transformed into the largest operation in Western Australia. Profits made from his early success in the mining industry provided the capital to acquire commercial property assets including various CBD and suburban shopping centres.
