WA Day is an occasion for all Western Australians to reflect and celebrate all the great things about our state – our people, lifestyle, culture and potential.
On WA Day 2017, we presented eight FREE WA Day Festival events, that saw the state come alive with music, art, food and activities for the whole family. Events were held at Elizabeth Quay (Perth), Fremantle, Mandurah, Albany, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Geraldton and Port Hedland.
SOTA (State of the Art Music Festival) was a massive part of the celebrations at Elizabeth Quay showcasing the very best of WA music, including headliners Karnivool, Drapht, Gyroscope and Tired Lion.
We can’t wait to share more about the 2018 events as we get closer to the next WA Day on Monday 4 June, 2018. But in the meantime, enjoy our photo gallery showcasing the highlights of the 2017 WA Day Festival.
Crafted by Hardy Brothers, the Western Australian of the Year Award trophy is made from polished stainless steel and is gold leaf plated.
