About Us
Volunteering @ Celebrate WA
Celebrate WA exists to deliver on programs that recognise and reward excellence in Western Australians and to provide a mechanism for Western Australians to promote and celebrate the benefits of living in our State.
One of the reasons Celebrate WA is able to deliver such excellent programs is because of an extraordinary group of passionate volunteers. Some of these volunteers volunteer because they want to be active and contributing member of the Western Australian community. Others do so to meet new people, learn new skills, add to their CV or just to make good use of their spare time.
You can join them by contributing your time, effort, skills and experience in any of the ways stated below.
Celebrate WA understands everyone is busy and all have work, family and social commitments. So as a volunteer, you get to decide how much time you can commit. We will always endeavour to contact you well in advance when assistance is required and you can confirm if you are available.
You do not necessary need specialist skills to be a Celebrate WA volunteer, all you need is a passion for serving the Western Australian community through the programs Celebrate WA deliver. If you want to be part of our Event Team, an outgoing and enthusiastic personality will not go astray. However, prior fundraising, event management, administrative, public relations or project management skills are definitely appreciated!
Some of the ways you can help include:
Event Team
Celebrate WA presents many exciting programs including the WA Citizen of the Year Awards and WA Week. Without amazing volunteers who help out in all sorts of areas before, during and after the event, the events just will not occur.
In order to ensure an exciting and satisfying experience, all volunteers are well briefed and provided with all the information they need prior to the event. We will always endeavour to allocate you with tasks according to your preferences.
Mailout Assistance
One of the ways we communicate with our partners and supporters is through mailouts that occur at various times throughout the year. Any time at all you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Virtual Volunteering
From time to time, help is required to research on various subjects, edit or write proposals and grants or other computer related tasks that volunteers can participate in.
